PAYMENTS: Payment is due at the time services are provided. Training outside a 10-mile radius of Moorpark will incur a travel fee of $1 per mile, each way, for miles beyond the 10-mile radius.
CANCELLATIONS: Consistency is important to training success. If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice. One late cancellation or reschedule will be allowed as a courtesy. After that, sessions canceled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged the full session fee. If illness, weather, or other circumstances make an in-person session unsafe or impractical, the session may be rescheduled or conducted virtually when appropriate.
MANAGEMENT PLAN: Following the recommended management plan is an important part of keeping everyone safe and helping your dog succeed. If you are having difficulty following the plan, please let me know so we can make adjustments together. Repeated failure to follow safety or management recommendations may result in termination of training services.
EXPECTATIONS: Dog behavior is dynamic and can change over time. I use current, positive reinforcement-based training methods and will work with you to develop a plan that fits both you and your dog. Successful training and behavior modification require time, consistency, and practice. You are responsible for following the training and management recommendations between sessions. While behavior can improve significantly, no specific outcome can be guaranteed, and previously displayed behaviors may recur. You remain responsible for your dog’s behavior and interactions with people and other animals.
PHOTO & VIDEO RELEASE: I give Heidi Paws Dog Training and Heidi Kerr permission to use photos and/or videos of my dog for educational, promotional, website, and social media purposes. My dog’s name may be used, but my personal information will not be shared.
WAIVER OF LIABILITY AND INFORMED CONSENT: I understand that working with dogs involves inherent risks, including the possibility of injury to people, animals, or property. Dogs can behave unpredictably, and no dog can be guaranteed to remain under control at all times. I voluntarily assume the risks associated with participating in training and with my dog’s behavior before, during, and after training. I agree that I am responsible for my dog and for any injury, damage, or loss caused by my dog. To the fullest extent permitted by law, I release and hold harmless Heidi Paws Dog Training and Heidi Kerr from claims arising from participation in training, except where liability cannot legally be waived. I understand that I am responsible for following safety and management instructions provided during training.
